Piano trio in D minor, Viola part (instead of bassoon)
for Clarinet (Violin), Viola and Piano
to be used together with a sheet music edition in original instrumentation (clarinet, bassoon[= cello] and piano)
This «Trio Pathétique», as it is called, is a dramatic-romantic early work by Glinka from the years 1826/27, and when the viola takes over the bassoon voice, it creates the same delicate harmony with clarinet as in Mozart's Kegelstatt-Trio.
